A DL rate of 25-35 kbs is about normal for the basic entry level DSL service offered by YAHOO @ $14.95. I paid much more to get the 305 kbs speeds on this and most other sites.

I'm not following what you are saying. Do you mean that you are actually donating much more than $15 per month to this site (archive.org), plus making large monthly donations to the other sites you mention?

more donations, better speed. It's like leeching and NOT seeding at a torrent site-a no-no. Think I'll donate at least $5 for every show I DownLoad here and walk da walk.
Maybe send some brownies to the Archive crew to enjoy

Diana

are you okay? You do not sound like your usual self- I see it as a technical issue that the soundboards do not stream properly anymore, with constant buffering- and just what is that FLASH option? That does not work either.

Is this a tech issue right now? Or is it somethihng with windows media player? I am at a friends house and finding winamp having a much easier time "digesting" the streaminng signal.

There have been several different threads across the 2 forums about stream buffering and/or d/l speeds. Reports seem to vary: some people having consistent problems (but is it on all shows, or just heavily-accessed ones? not clear), some not consistent, some no problem. So I don't even have a clear enough picture to report to engineers out of these threads.

Fair enough- for me, in windows media player, it is all shows, so I will report specific shows

All shows meaning all Dead shows or truly all shows? Like, if you go find some little-accessed shows by some smaller bands from 2003 or 2004- also a problem?

EDIT: Comments from an engineer about overall site usage:
